Description
This Austin Six Norfolk is a beautiful and original example. Remarkably this classic, which is now well over 80 years old, has only covered a mere 12,252 miles.Bought new on the 3rd of July 1939 by Sir Herbert Benjamin Cohen, 2nd Baronet, Major and Barrister, just two months before the outbreak of the Second World War, the Austin went unused until 1956 when it was put back on the road. Thereafter it was sparingly used by the family, until it was purchased in 1965 by the ""Sharp Family Museum"in Essex. The Austin was kept along with many other cars of the era at their garage in Wickford and their motor museum in Ramsgate. The Austin was featured in ""The Motor"on December 25th 1965, as a comparison feature to cars of the time. The mileage stated at test was 10,500 miles. A copy of ""The Motor"is supplied within the classics history record. It then remained as a museum exhibit until 2005, when it was sold at auction with a mileage record of 12,000 miles. The Norfolk is in a beautiful condition throughout. Outside the Austin still retains its original hand painted coach lines and inside, its original tan leather interior which is in a lovely original condition. Rear footrests and tray tables are operable and the rear window blinds are present. UK WIDE DELIVERY CAN BE ARRANGED.
